When new owners took over the BIBS brand in 2015, the importance of staying tuned to the ever-changing trends and needs of parents and babies alike was recognized. We understood that the ‘Colour’ pacifier needed to evolve to remain relevant and continue to bring joy to families.
Thus, we embarked on a heartfelt mission to refine and adapt ‘Colour’ to the trends of the time while ensuring that it maintained the familiar aesthetic that generations had come to adore.
Redesigning an icon
In embarking on the journey of redesigning the beloved ‘Colour’ pacifier, we approached the task with utmost respect and admiration for the prior design and the rich design heritage it represented. We understood the importance of preserving the essence that had captured hearts for generations - the iconic Scandi minimalism that had become synonymous with the BIBS brand.
Throughout the process, we carried the weight of responsibility to refine the design while staying true to the design heritage we were entrusted with. We recognized that the ‘Colour’ pacifier held a special place in the hearts of families, and any changes had to be thoughtfully crafted and purposefully integrated.
Ultimately, the glossy design was made solid and matte, the BIBS logo was added, and the handle ring was made smaller. The new design retains the familiar aesthetic while introducing subtle refinements that enhance its performance and usability.

Today our ‘Colour’ pacifiers are present in over 100 markets across the world and sold via more than 12,000 points of sale. Our story is one of passion and dedication, and we are proud to have grown into the international brand we are today.
Since the beginning, more pacifiers have been added, and today BIBS covers all nipple types and materials on the market.
